If you can commit to recording yourself for a few minutes every day, little by little you will start to make small improvements that gradually add up. The 30-Day Speaking Challenge encourages you to work on your solo speaking practice on a daily basis. ItвЂ™s actually possible to get lots of speaking practice by making recordings by yourself and sharing them to get feedback. Many people think that the only way to practice is by speaking with a language partner or a teacher, but you donвЂ™t necessarily have to interact with a native speaker directly to gain confidence or to develop your speaking strategies. Speaking your target language doesnвЂ™t have to be stressful and nerve-wracking. The challenge is an opportunity for you to practice speaking your target language on a daily basis and to build a consistent habit that effectively helps you work on your grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence, and fluency.

The Busy WriterвЂ™s 30 Day Writing Challenge For AugustДЄnd a list for good measure, with a few extra details, and two extra prompts, bringing it to a total of 32 Prompts for August: IвЂ™d love to see what you come up with.ДЄnd they are short - to give you a nice heading for the centre of your BuJo page to write aroundвЂ¦ IвЂ™m going for something like this:ДЄ post shared by pepper and twine on at 6:43pm PDT But even if they are to you brainstorm around these prompts, see what you come up with, or go for a straight up free-write. I picked some of them, especially because they Were Not familiar to me. Now some of these prompts are names of known fairy tales which may be familiar to you. Since it is August and the 5th, IвЂ™m starting from August 1, with a few days to catch up on, and youвЂ™ll get those in the next few days) And since itвЂ™s August, and I just love my fairy tales, this monthвЂ™s prompts are going to be focused around fairy tales, mythology and my favourite Celtic legends. So, I create this list, firstly for myself, and if you also happen to like them, then IвЂ™m creating them for you also рџ™‚ But I think daily writing to a creative prompt is better for me. I used to practice JuliaвЂ™s Morning Pages religiously and filled up many a notebook.

It is about writing every day making creative writing and вЂњEverydayвЂќ habit or ritual. The Morning Pages influence here, is the idea of writing every day, one to three pages, or however many you want. Technically, this writing prompt challenge doesnвЂ™t follow the вЂMorning PagesвЂ™ format or rules. Cameron also discusses it in her recommended book: The Right to WriteВ (affiliate link btw). ItвЂ™s the writing of 3 pages of your notebook, first thing in the morning, in a stream of consciousness style. Morning Pages was made popular by author and artist Julia Cameron in her popular book The ArtistвЂ™s Way.
